Midtown Memphis In May

The first question I asked myself was, what was a vegetarian doing going to a barbecue festival and secondly, why was I driving away from Downtown? I realized that the answer to the first was that I had been asked to judge in THE Barbecue Festival and secondly, I was heading away from the river from the same reason IT did – the Mighty Mississippi was flexing her muscles and had pushed us both to Midtown.
