July 9th, 2011

Special thanks to the Memphis Daily News - a DNA Business Member - for keeping the community informed on this issue.

July 20th - Council Approval Article

Changes to Districts result in the border shift to Poplar Avenue. Those to the north stay in the 7th; those to the south of Poplar - welcome to the 6th District. Below is the link to the on-line Daily News story by Bill Dries on the Memphis City Council approval of the redistricting plan:

This map was put together by a local blogger to help understand the proposed changes. This map is unofficial and has not been adopted. Please use this map for discussion only at this point as this issue changes on a daily basis.

July 11th - Original Memphis Daily News Article

Please read this article by Bill Dries in the Memphis Daily News on how the proposed redistricting will impact Downtown. At this time, all of the DNA is in District 7. With the proposed plan, South Main would move to District 6 and District 7 would be reconfigured. This could impact how your DNA works with the city to help all our Downtown neighbors work together to solve common Downtown concerns.
